Infrared heaters are becoming a recognised green alternative to almost all other types of heating for the home and workplace – and have been recognised as more efficient and affordable than night storage heaters and gas fired central heating systems.

Infrared Heating

Infrared heating works like the suns rays, only without the harmfull UV rays.

Infrared heating works like the sun rays do – only they are in no way harmful.

The beams of infrared light are absorbed into the wall and ceilings of your home – and even into ypour own body, so you will warm even if the air around you is cold. A conventional heating system cannot do this, as it heats the air in the room and relies on convection currents to distribute the heat around the room. The heat will rise, and mean that lots of the energy you have used to heat the rooms has been wasted.

Infra red is considered completely safe and has even been used to warm new born babies. A simple way to look at it is like being heated by the sun through your car window on a cold day.

Infrared Radiators

These radiators use a special carbon matting that emits Far Infrared Rays, when an electrical current is passed through it. A conventional electric convention heater cannot achieve this, as it operates through the use of a heating element.

The Far Infrared Rays are absorbed into the body, giving a feeling of being warmed from the inside out. The radiator will not get hot like a conventional radiator, making it completely safe to touch – even for the most sensitive hands – although the warmth of the rays can be felt from over 8 metres away. This makes it perfect for a heating solution for nursery schools, hospitals, public building and even your home!

An added bonus is that they do not create any convection currents in the air, which keeps airborne dust to a complete minimum. This is highly beneficial to allergy sufferers and in hospitals as it helps keep the environment dust free and sterile. As the radiators do not get hot, they can be disguised as mirrors, white boards and even fine art prints, making them extremely desirable.
